Excerpt – G rated
"My life was fine until he showed up." Erika wiped the tears off her cheek, then tossed the tissue toward the trash can. It missed and hit the floor.
"Really? Was it?" Sandee pulled another tissue from the box and handed it to her.
Erika thought back to the days before Darien appeared at her club disguised as Apollo. She was lonely, jealous of everyone else who had a special someone in their life, and more than a bit horny. All of which she’d tried unsuccessfully to bury in her work.
She snatched the tissue from his hand. "I hate it when you ask all the right questions." She blew her nose and threw the wad of tissue at the trash can. It bounced off the end and hit the floor.
Sandee snickered. "You weren't on the basketball team, were you?"
Erika grinned and shook her head. "My, however did you guess?"
Sandee chuckled. "I was. Can't think of a better place to be than a room full of boys in shorts and big bouncing balls."
"Darien put you up to this?"
He shrugged. "Sorta. Both he and Brian asked me to have a little tête-à-tête with you. Brian's worried about Darien's drinking, and Darien's confused and hurting."
She played with her thumbnail. The truth was always hard to admit. "I might have overreacted a bit and vented it out toward Darien."
Sandee settled back on Erika's couch. "I love a good story. Start at the beginning. Oh, and include all the sexy parts. I love it when two straights do the nasty."
Excerpt 2 – hotter
Rain pattered on the thatched roof of the pavilion. She pulled back with a gasp, lowered her head and worked tiny kisses down his throat, his chest and along his stomach. As she backed up, the tip of his swollen cock bumped her bottom. She wiggled it. A groan erupted from his throat.
She lifted her hips and pressed her groin against his shaft. Flexing and tilting her hips, she positioned herself so her clit slid along his hot flesh. He bucked and moaned. A sweet internal tingle turned to an intense burn. Her body tensed as her focus centered on her need.
As quick as she could, she shifted and settled herself over his erection and eased down. He arched his hips. His chest rose and fell in rapid shallow breaths. She massaged her breasts as she rocked her hips.
"Pretend these are your hands. Feel what they're feeling." She teased and pulled at her nipples, making them swollen and pink. "Imagine your lips sucking on these. When I think about you doing that to me, it makes me so hot." She kept her rocking motion steady. "Like this?"
"Oh gawd, babe. Yes. You're so incredible."
She slid one hand down her belly to her clit and the other around, reaching for his balls. With gentle movements, she rubbed.
The rain increased. The wind howled through the trees.
He raised and dropped his hips, moans matching his movements. She dragged her fingers around his balls. His hips jerked as he deepened his thrust.
The sensation grew and spread through her.
"Come on, babe. I'm gonna come. Come on." She focused her hand, circling and stroking her clit as she pumped up and down. Her breasts bounced. Her heart pounded.

Tell me about your latest release
Darien's Desire is the second book in the Two Loves One Heart Trilogy. It continues the romance of club owner, Erika Bailey and rock star, Darien Scott. This books throws more curves at them and takes them off to an erotic locale.
Are you working on a new book right now?
The final book of the series is bouncing between editor and myself at the moment- expected Dec release. After that, there is a Christmas short coming out, about a songwriter and a homeless person – obviously a Dec release. There is one book sitting on hard drive that is begging to be written, but I just can't seem to get to it. And several others are waiting.
Are you a morning or night person?
Night owl. According to my mother – even when I was a baby – night owl!
If I wasn't afraid I would _________ (What?)
If I wasn't afraid I would stand up for myself more often. I'm an introvert and a massive wuss.
Someday, I want to _________ (What?)
Touch a cloud. One of those beautiful white summery clouds.
What is the best thing you have done in your life?
Raised my daughter to be a strong independent woman (opposite of her wuss of a mother)
What are your favorite hobbies?
I am addicted to yoga. I also belly dance. And I love to garden and cook.
What are your pet peeves?
Arrogant people. They so annoy me.
Because of the anonymity of the internet, people say the meanest and quite often the stupidest things. That is so irritating.
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
A cowboy. I didn't understand about gender – I'm a girl but I wanted to be a cowboy. Not a cowgirl. A cowboy.
If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
My current mantra is I release my need to be perfect. It's been known to irritate others because of the typo, but that's there on purpose. Trying to be perfect is impossible and wastes a lot of valuable energy, so I have given myself permission to be imperfect and not worry about it. Remember a few questions higher I said I'm addicted to yoga. That's where I learned how to release my quest for perfection.
Thank you for spotlighting Darien's Desire.
ReplyDeleteMy mantra is actually - I release my need to be perfcet. The typo is deliberate. :-)
